Productive weekend

It was quite a productive weekend:

  • Repaired my broken MacBook by baking it in the oven at 200°C/375°F for 7 minutes.
  • Installed and configured the new server with:
    • Tomcat (J2EE web server)
    • Jenkins (Continues Integration)
    • Subversion (Code repository)

  1. Nice project!

When you have remade the Street rod, maybe you could extend it even more than extra cars etc.

Maybe someday this could have online multiplayer. You could challenge other players, sell vehicles and vehicle parts through the newspaper to other players etc.).

Maybe more tracks(maybe even track editor), custom decals and wheels (+editor for those) and bigger races with more opponenst(AI or online players) with bigger tracks.

Better graphics(toggleable?) from Street rod 2: The next generation:

Off course it will be fine with the original things too, but these are just suggestions for the future.

    Good luck!

    • My plan is to use JIRA in which all those brilliant ideas can be administered as feature requests.

I hope to have it up and running by the end of the week. I invite you to come back then and add your ideas to Street Rod Online’s JIRA system.

  2. Thanks for linking to my blog! Nice to hear that it also fixed your Mac.

    • Vielen dank, I knew it could be solved by reflowing the gpu. However I was unsure about how long and at what temperature the logic board should be ‘baked’.
Your blogpost gave me the right answer, thanks.

  3. Interesting fix even more interesting you have the perfect baking time, 7 minutes. I’ve done this a couple of time though i prefer re-flows and re balls but, baking works pretty good too.
